Who we are

The controller is LeMi Digital Lab s.r.o., a company registered in the Slovak Republic and the publisher of Aquafy. Contact: info@lemidigitallab.eu or https://lemidigitallab.eu.

The Aquafy app

The app needs no account. It works offline with one exception you control: if you turn the weather option on, it fetches today’s local temperature - see “Weather and approximate location” below. Everything you enter stays in your device’s storage.

The following is stored on your device:

• your age, weight and activity level - used to calculate the daily goal,
• your daily goal and the volumes you log, including their timestamps,
• app settings such as the chosen language and the weather toggle,
• the last weather reading - today’s temperature and the rounded coordinates it came from - kept for at most 6 hours, and only while the weather option is on.

The app contains no advertising, no analytics and no tracking. The only system permission it ever asks for is location, and only when you turn the weather option on.

To erase the data, uninstall the app or clear its storage in your device settings. We never receive it, so we have no access to it and cannot restore it for you.

Weather and approximate location

Nothing leaves your device until you turn the weather option on and grant location access. When both are true, the app sends your approximate location - rounded to about a kilometre - over an encrypted connection to MET Norway (the Norwegian Meteorological Institute, api.met.no) and receives today’s forecast maximum temperature. Nothing else is sent: no account, no identifier and none of your hydration data.

The temperature is used only to raise the daily goal on hot days. If you decline location access or the device is offline, the app adds a fixed bonus instead - the feature degrades and nothing else changes.

The reading is cached on your device for at most 6 hours, together with the rounded coordinates it came from, so the app does not repeat the request. It is discarded at the start of the next day.

You can withdraw this at any time: turn the weather option off in the app, or revoke location access in your device settings.

This website

The site is static and hosted on Cloudflare Pages. As our processor, Cloudflare handles ordinary technical request logs, including IP addresses, for operation and security.

Fonts and images are self-hosted. The site loads no other third-party services and uses no social plugins.

Website analytics

With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to measure traffic. It runs under Consent Mode v2 with everything denied by default - until you press “Accept”, no analytics cookie is stored and no event is sent.

If you do consent, Google Analytics stores cookies (such as _ga) and processes data about your visit: pages viewed, approximate city-level location, device and browser type, and referral source. Your IP address is anonymised. The provider is Google Ireland Limited.

You can change your choice at any time through the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.

Legal basis

Technical server logs are processed under our legitimate interest in operating the site securely and reliably (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Analytics is processed solely on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

The weather request is made only on the basis of your consent, given by enabling the option in the app (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

How long we keep data

App data stays on your device until you delete it.

A cached weather reading is kept for at most 6 hours and is discarded at the start of the next day.

Cloudflare technical logs are retained briefly under the provider’s standard configuration. Google Analytics data is retained for at most 14 months.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access your data, to rectification or erasure, to restriction of processing, to data portability, to object, and to withdraw consent at any time.

To exercise them, write to info@lemidigitallab.eu. If you are not satisfied with how we handle it, you may lodge a complaint with the Slovak Data Protection Authority or the supervisory authority in your country of residence.

Children

Aquafy is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect any data from them.

Changes to this document

If we change this document, we update the date shown above. Material changes will be announced on this page.
